Dagar’s Catering
was founded in 1952, in Austin, Texas, by the late Freddie Dagar. Freddie
set out to create a business that would allow him to earn a living and
have fun at the same time.
Beginning with very humble roots, Freddie’s offerings amounted
to barbecue, barbecue, and more barbecue. The young businessman soon
earned a reputation for providing the finest tasting food backed by
a devoted family whose customer service and attention to detail were
second-to-none in Central Texas. Freddie’s son Albert, gradually
took over the helm of Dagar’s to help expand the company’s
offerings to meet the needs of an ever growing list of longtime customers,
including those that had learned of Dagar’s through favorable
word of mouth.
Soon Dagar’s was handling events for numerous associations,
corporations, hospitals, hotels, and universities, among others. Today,
in its third generation of business, Dagar’s is led by Albert
and his daughter Kathryn, and the company has maintained its status
as one of Austin’s most trusted and well-regarded names in catering.
Dagar’s offers a wide selection of formal and informal, domestic
and international cuisine for events of all sizes.
